Starting university is exciting – but it can also feel overwhelming. That’s where our Support Squad comes in.

At Orlando Village, the only university-approved accommodation for the University of Greater Manchester, we’re proud to offer more than just a room. We’ve created the Support Squad – a group of current students who live here and have been exactly where you are now. Their role? To help you settle in, feel supported, and make the most of student life from day one.

What is the Support Squad?

The Support Squad is a team of friendly, experienced students who volunteer their time to help new students at the University of Greater Manchester feel at home.

Whether you have questions before you arrive, need advice during Welcome Week, or just want to know where to find the best coffee in Bolton – the Support Squad is here for you.

Starting from the management and friendly staffs and most especially the on-site maintenance team who are always available to ensure smooth running of the facility. It has 24/7 security. And I mostly love the common room that helps you to balance studies with extra curricular activities and connect with other people.

I was part of the people that Ebonyi State government sponsored for Masters Programme in University of Greater Manchester. I will say that Orlando Village management gives a top notch service. I appreciate their services most especially the warmth welcome we received from Emma when we came in as new students. The members of staff are always smiling, eager to entertain our questions most especially when it is not convenient for them. The height of professionalism that the management team exhibit is top notch. For example, I stay in Room 4 , Flat 21, Block C and when the bulbs and heaters were not in good condition, I came down and made my complaint and in less than 4 hrs  it was fixed, the rooms are always warmth. I have a lot to say but because of time I will stop here but I want to say a very big thank you to Emma and her teams. You made orlando village a home for me and likewise many other people.
