Ingredients:

  1. 1 cup baking soda
  2. 1/2 cup citric acid
  3. 1/2 cup Epsom salt
  4. 1/2 cup cornstarch
  5. 3/4 teaspoon water
  6. 2 teaspoons essential oil (lavender, eucalyptus, or your preferred scent)
  7. 2 teaspoons coconut oil
  8. Food coloring (optional)
  9. Heart-shaped mold

Instructions:

  1. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, mix together the baking soda, citric acid, Epsom salt, and cornstarch. Ensure there are no lumps and that the ingredients are evenly distributed.
  2. Prepare Wet Ingredients: In a separate small bowl, combine the water, essential oil, and coconut oil. If you desire a tinted bath bomb, add a few drops of food coloring to the wet mixture.
  3. Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures: Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring continuously. The mixture should clump together when squeezed but not be too wet. Adjust with more water or dry ingredients as needed.
  4. Pack the Mixture into Molds: Firmly pack the mixture into heart-shaped molds. Press down to ensure the mixture takes the shape of the mold.
  5. Let Them Set: Allow the bath bombs to dry and set for at least 24 hours. To speed up the process, you can place them in the refrigerator.
  6. Remove from Molds: Carefully remove the bath bombs from the molds. If you find any cracks, you can gently press the mixture back together.
  7. Wrap and Gift: Once the bath bombs are fully set, wrap them in festive paper or place them in a cute bag. Your handmade bath bombs are now ready to be gifted to someone special.
